Many webmasters that find writing articles or even a short post for a site is nothing but hard work. They know they need to do this but just can’t. It usually isn’t too difficult for the first few articles but drudgery soon sets in and their site starts a slow death.
If you find yourself in this boat, delaying the amount of writing you need to do, take a look at what is already out there in the public domain. It is a rich resource of information that can be legally used, not only for research but for complete articles and books.
With many articles in the public domain you can simply edit them to your own style and rewrite them for your particular need. I don’t mean to simply copy them. This would be legal as the source is in the public domain but it would be duplicate content and probably would not be very helpful to you. Find the proper subject matter and do a complete re-write. This is certainly easier than starting from scratch.
Using public domain articles as a source is not only relatively easy but it can also save a lot of money. if you buying PLR articles you not only have to pay for them but to be on the safe side, you still need to do a re-write. Just start with the public domain.
The public is a huge, virtually untapped resource that many people fail to use.
They are a great alternative for those who are cash strapped as well as for novice writers still unsure of their skills. Re-writing articles is a great way to hone your skills.
Finding material in the public domain is quite simple. Two good places to start your search are Project Gutenberg, and the Internet Public Library . You can also use the search engines by searching for your subject plus “public domain”. When you locate material, please be sure and do a re-write. The search engines will reward you with free traffic and you’ll feel better too, knowing you put in at least a little effort!
